8TH INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON TEMPORAL DESIGN
The International Symposium on Temporal Design, held every two years, is an international forum for researches interested in the Temporal Design Theory. It aims at going beyond the traditional design concepts, primarily concerned with issues of spatial design only, taking into account the temporal dimension of life too. This bring to a better blending of natural activities and human rhythms. To achieve “temporal design” one must approach design problem with knowledge of the “temporal dynamism” of the interactions between human creativity and its effects on the natural environment, and between human activities and built and natural environment. In particular, cultural development may favor a lifestyle pattern that does not attempt to go against the forces of nature. It is invaluable the contribution that this approach can give to architecture, engineering, pedagogy, psychology, and many other disciplines.
The Symposium, organized by the Acoustical Society of Italy in cooperation with the University of Bologna, will take place in Bologna on 14-15 Semptember 2017.
About The Author
Acoustical Society of Italy
The Acoustical Society of Italy (AIA) was founded on 10th February 1972 as a not-for-profit, apolitical, scientific association, without any commercial or industrial objective, in order to promote and encourage the studies on acoustics and its related problems in the scientific, technical, normative, industrial, social, professional and educational fields.
The activities of AIA are aimed at:
Favouring the exchange of technical and scientific information, as well as the cooperation among its members.
Disseminating research results and news regarding the different topics of acoustics.
Encouraging and promoting contacts with other associations, Italian and international; for instance AIA is member of Italian Standardization Body (UNI) and one of the founder associations of the European Acoustics Association (EAA), as well as a member of the International Commission for Acoustics (ICA) and of the International Institute of Noise Control Engineering (I-INCE).
