promote international cooperation within different specific fields of acoustics, provide assistance in organizing EAA events, suggest special issues for Acta Acustica or Acoustics in Practice, initiate studies and prepare documents such as strategies, policy statements, state-of-the-art assessments, reports, etc, within its defined technical field.

We are looking for a highly motivated researcher to kick off his/her PhD journey on an exciting project co-hosted by Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon & University of Technology Sydney.

The successful candidate will sign a 36-month employment contract with the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon (France) and be enrolled as a PhD candidate both at Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon (France) and University of Technology Sydney (Australia) where s/he will spend up to 12 months. 

International mobility is a core feature of the program. Besides a residential year in Australia, the successful candidate will be part of a cohort of 64 PhD fellows and will participate in regular events where they will share common experiences and build a sustainable community, laying a strong foundation for long-term impact on future collaborations and careers.  

The European Acoustics Association (EAA) is a non-profit entity established in 1992 that includes in its membership societies predominantly in European countries interested in to promote development and progress of acoustics in its different aspects, its technologies and applications. EAA gathers 33 societies of acoustics and serves more than 9000 individual members all over Europe.
