Post-Doc: generation and detection of surface acoustic waves(SAW) in the range of the GHz over a micro-structured surface (Universitat Jaume I, Spain)

Application deadline: Wed 01 Jun 2022

The main objective of this project is the generation and detection of surface acoustic waves(SAW) in the range of the GHz over a micro-structured surface, as well as the use of theseSAWs for the manipulation of the phase of optical beams. We seek for a motivated candidatewith an experimental profile in the realm of picoseconds ultrasonics, although generalexperimental experience in the use of femtosecond lasers is welcomed.

This position is funded by an EIC Pathfinder Project coordinated by the University Jaume I(UJI) which has a duration of four years. The duration of the position is of two years athoughan extension might be possible. The fellow will join the GROC team at UJI, and different visitsto our partners in the Imperial College (UK), INSP (France), ICMAB (Spain) or AGH (Poland)might be required.

In order to submit an online application, candidates must have a UJI user account (register a new account, if they do not have one), a digital certificate containing an electronic signature, or an electronic DNI (Spanish identity card).
