promote international cooperation within different specific fields of acoustics, provide assistance in organizing EAA events, suggest special issues for Acta Acustica or Acoustics in Practice, initiate studies and prepare documents such as strategies, policy statements, state-of-the-art assessments, reports, etc, within its defined technical field.

25th International Congress on Acoustics and 188th Meeting of the Acoustical Society of America (18-23 May 2025, New Orleans, USA)

The Acoustical Society of America will hold its 2025 spring meeting combined with the 25th International Congress on Acoustics in New Orleans, Louisiana, 18-23 May 2025. The meeting venue will be the New Orleans Marriott on Canal Street, on the perimeter of the French Quarter.

The technical program will include plenary lectures, distinguished and invited presentations, contributed papers, and posters covering all aspects of acoustics. There will also be the traditional jam session and technical exposition highlighting the latest acoustical products.

In conjunction with the joint meeting, two satellite symposia, the International Symposium on Musical Acoustics (ISMA) and the International Symposium on Room Acoustics (ISRA), will be held May 25-28 at Loyola University in New Orleans, a short streetcar ride from the joint meeting location. On the first day the two symposia will be merged (ISMRA) to explore interactions of musicians with room acoustics (ismra2025.org).
