promote international cooperation within different specific fields of acoustics, provide assistance in organizing EAA events, suggest special issues for Acta Acustica or Acoustics in Practice, initiate studies and prepare documents such as strategies, policy statements, state-of-the-art assessments, reports, etc, within its defined technical field.

Urban Sound Symposium 2025 (Zurich, Switzerland, 28-30th April 2025)

The program will include invited plenary talks by renowned researchers from around the world in a single stream, as well as panel discussions on emerging issues. The main themes of the event are urban sound planning and design, urban sound propagation and noise control, sound technologies, smart noise management, and urban soundscape analysis.
