Applications are now open for The Acoustics Awards - Le Mans Sonore

Applications are now open for The Acoustics Awards, organized as part of the Le Mans Sonore event.
This international competition is aimed at young acousticians and comprises 2 categories: a student prize and a young researcher prize (thesis prize).
The aim is to promote research in acoustics through a French prize, i.e. the originality and potential impact of fundamental or application-oriented research.

- 1000€ to be won in the "Young researchers" category
- 500€ to be won in the "Students" category

Young researcher prize (thesis prize)
Work must involve fundamental or finalized research involving acoustic/mechanical waves, carried out over the last 3 to 5 years (thesis defended between September 2021 and December 2023). The expected file includes the application form, a detailed scientific CV, defense reports, an active link to the thesis, and any appendices deemed useful for
to analyze the application.

Student Awards
Each entry must present the result of a student project (individual or group) less than 2 years old at the time of the biennial (January 2024). The theme is acoustics, the science of sound, and the entry must include evidence of the originality of the research carried out to achieve this result. The achievement may be a new object/material, or an innovative method or software. A short video presentation is required (< 3 min).
