- General view of the acoustic propagation in fluid media. How to set a problem (fundamental equations and boundary conditions). Analytical formulation of fundamental linear problems in homogeneous, time independant fluid media at rest: fundamental solutions in cartesian, cylindrical and spherical coordinates. Plane waves, guided waves, integral formulation, mode coupling. At this level (vocational traingin), a perfect assimilation of theoretical concepts is not required: the student just has to understant the general ideas and numbers of physical interpreting.sans exiger des étudiants une parfaite assimilation. Illustration by punctual experiments and a visit of the acoustic laboratory.
