promote international cooperation within different specific fields of acoustics, provide assistance in organizing EAA events, suggest special issues for Acta Acustica or Acoustics in Practice, initiate studies and prepare documents such as strategies, policy statements, state-of-the-art assessments, reports, etc, within its defined technical field.

Underwater Acoustics

This Technical Committee aims to federate the activities of the European community working with underwater acoustics, often very active in particular fields (e.g. measurements, seafloor surveying, bioacoustics, tomography) but not always aware of activities in other fields. The richness of our activities can lead to even more exciting research and applications, at the European and international level. We aim to achieve this by first compiling a list of national correspondents and then taking stock of the state of underwater acoustics in each country. This will guide our next activities, in line with EAA objectives (https://euracoustics.org/about-eaa/).
